I have, like many off you, been appalled by the events in Ukraine. I have looked on as people raise arms against one another.  Yet again they have been convinced by the powers that be to lay down their lives to serve the desires of their leaders.  Particulary disturbing is the impact that the crisis has had on the civilian population with families having to part and sometimes flee for the borders.  I pray that the the bloodshed can be stopped, that the leaders will be held responsible for their decisions and that the people can be allowed to return to living their lives in peace.  In the meantime, I’ll switch off the TV from time to time and let my imagination remind me that there is hope that ordinary people can live together.  I send my prayers to all the people who are affected by the crisis, no matter what side they find themselves on.  There would be no war if ordinary people laid down their weapons.  That might be a utopian dream but hope allows us to dream and dreaming lets us know that there is hope.  Sending love and light to Ukraine.
